Flipstones 2.0 is a completely new game! I always liked Flipstones, but now Im officially in LOVE, espeically with Frenzy mode and PlacePlay - well done PressOK!

Im pretty mad that it updated from one game to an entirely different one, losing all my progress in the original game, all my high scores, and eliminating endless mode altogether, which was my favorite feature. And because I update all my apps at once and didnt think Id be installing an entirely different game, Ive lost my favorite game for my iPod. Im mad that they didnt just make Flipstones 2 a separate app and eliminate the first version altogether. Im deleting this app and doubt Ill be installing any others from these people. The new versions challenge mode seems to be completely random in that theres no noticeable progression or added challenges as you level up. Level one starts with every stone I worked for ten plus levels to gain in the previous game.

This new update has gone all Bejeweled Blitz on us but with much more interesting boosts as well as means to extend your time by clearing a certain color of pieces. I also like how even though the player needs to buy boosts, it is all via in-game credit, no IAP nonsense to get game credits. When playing levels in Challenge Mode you need to complete a series of missions to clear a level. in an interesting twist, you will soon notice that after completing a mission your next mission takes place right where the last one left off...so if you just barely completed your last mission before the board was completely filled, good luck getting anywhere in the next mission. If you fail a mission you are free to retry it but, again, it will start you right where you left off in the last level. What this means therefore, is it can be pretty easy to paint yourself into impossible situations with the only solution being to restart the level from the first mission (painful when a level has 4+ missions). Once you clear all of the missions on a level that level is then open for Endless play. To clear triangles you need to group them into a big triangle or hexagon and then tap to pop them for a nifty game effect depending on the color (an explosion, shooting acid, granting some pieces wings, etc.). While making a hexagon requires more effort than making a triangle, it is worth twice as much points and has twice the effect. Each game level presents you with a new layout (well at least a unique arrangement of indestructible walls) but from mission to mission how new pieces are added can change (in some missions new pieces come in big clusters every so many second while in other missions new pieces come onto the scene based on your moves, so you can take as long as you want to plot your move). While I will concede these colors might be much too close for color blind individuals, the colors are very distinguishable to the rest of us (and believe you me, Ive seen plenty of games where unless you stop and stare at the screen for a while it was hard to tell a dark brown piece from a black one).

I love this one and I love the update from the original they made it better and i love the graphics and sounds especially when the stones flip :)

This could be interesting, but fix the response to moves. Annoying to try and move a stone only to have it ignore the touch and then get blocked by the next arriving stone. The game gets hard fast enough without having to feel like it cheats as well. And once the board gets over half full, it becomes way too hard way to fsst and very un-fun quickly. A little tweaking, some level and pacing controls, and better response to moves, and this could be good. For now, I will not play much more.

Is it just me or the jewels appear way too fast?? I can barely pass the first level, imagine the rest? @_@ Please make a relax mode or a For players with slow thinking mode. Thanks!

There were some issues with pieces not moving when/where you wanted but its way worse now. Want untimed play back too, was easy time spender waiting in lines, was my go to game. Not anymore.

I like the app. Why cant I get my location so I can make money?

Normally I like these puzzle games but this one annoys me. Just one drop of the gems fills up a third of the board. Two drops the game is pretty much over, unless you clear up most of the board each time. It wouldnt be so bad if I can get the gems to where I want. But the touch is terrible. I think its because of the triangle shape.

Well I downloaded this game cause people said this is a "great" game but what do u know it has problems I download it but it wont let me play I tryed to open the game but it keeps coming back to the front page so I just deleted the game too bad I didnt get to play it ( I might rate it five stars if thats the highest )|:(

It took forever to load and when I finally got it to open it crashed... needless to say I deleted this app..

Think this game is super fun

Makes you spam nearby foursquare locations to be eligible for boosts. Deleted immediately, not even worth free.

Its a fairly fun game, nothin difficult at all, 4 stars
